Veteran Farm Training Program

Pocono Organics actively supports Rodale’s Veteran Farmer Training Program by hosting and housing veterans who have completed a four-month apprenticeship program at Rodale before working and living at Pocono Organics’ veteran house. This program will enable aspiring farmers to train under the leadership of Rodale Institute staff and will help veterans transition into careers within the regenerative organic agriculture industry upon completion of the program. Beyond the skills training, this kind of mission-minded work supports a Dirt Therapy approach, which has been noted to help veterans who suffer from PTSD.

We are proud to support our veterans and believe this will have a truly beneficial impact on our local area and beyond.
