Poconos Family Shares Inspirational Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month Journey at Pocono Organics September 21st

As September Pediatric Cancer Awareness month continues, Pocono Organics welcomes Logan Snyder and his mom Ashleigh Snyder author of the book Logan’s War Against Stage IV: A Warrior’s Battle to Victory for an autograph session 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. this Saturday September 21, 2024 in our market café. We’d like to invite the public to meet the courageous (now) 16-year-old and talk about this Poconos resident’s journey since his Stage IV Neuroblastoma diagnosis at infancy (age 15 months) and the positive role nutrition played in his recovery.

As chemotherapy and other doctors-led medical procedures continued, Logan’s parents were steadfast in a mission to try “every angle possible” to help their son. After learning the rare form of Pediatric Cancer cell increases in an acidic environment in their child’s body, they turned towards an all organic diet explaining, “We were going to do everything in our power” adding, “This [eating organic] makes his body inside very unfavorable for cancer to grow.”

Logan’s War Against Stage IV was published in 2015 to collectively show what others battling cancer wanted to know after hearing her son’s positive progress with Snyder reasoning, “This is something I wish I had been given.”

Copies of the informative and inspirational book are donated to other families who may be facing their own form of Pediatric Cancer battle to provide hope and suggestions. Proceeds from sales of Logan’s War Against Stage IV go towards Logan’s college fund. The Pocono Mountain School District 10th Grader has a passion for the culinary arts also enjoying classes at Monroe County Career & Technical Institute.

“As a person whose experienced the powerful and healing nature of organic eating as part of my own health journey, Logan’s story in is a true inspiration we’re proud to share with the community encouraging others to choose the organic lifestyle we’ve made our mission here at Pocono Organics farm,” says Ashley Walsh, Pocono Organics founder.

Calling the September 21st event at Pocono Organics café a chance to see, “A face of what Pediatric Cancer can look like” the Snyders welcome the opportunity to talk about their experience with an invitation encouraging not only patients but the public to meet this amazing young man.

Also, please consider bringing a toy for Hunter’s Hope Toy Drive for pediatric oncology cancer patients.
